Tech Talk: Multitasking

Once again, today's tech is technology as opposed to technical knitting, but it is still knitting related!  Last night, I got a new HUGE, 28", LED monitor for our new office space.  Notice that there is so much space that I can have two nearly full size windows up at the same time.  This is very exciting for me because it will make multitasking a bit easier.

A few years ago I realized that part of my job as a professional knitting instructor and design was a publisher.  I publish class handouts and I publish designs.  And this new monitor is really going to help with that particular function.  I can have the edit from my tech editor up on half the screen while I make the edits on the working document on the other half of the screen -- sweet!!  Also, I have to respond to various e-mails regarding availability and now I can have my calendar up on half while I respond on half.

Now I know I could have TECHNICALLY done this on my smaller screen, but the practicality of the thing just didn't make it feasible.  So hurray for upgraded technology and the sweet husband who installed it for me!!!
