WIP: Winter Knitting

I'm up early but with a couple of extra quiet hours. We got a couple of inches of very pretty snow last night, so the kids are still asleep due to a two hour delay.  Right this minute, I'm working on contract knitting for Nora, but that consists of a bunch of small projects. In between, I'm making a flower washcloth as a baby shower gift from one of my favorite books, Weekend Knitting. It appears that the hardcover is out of print, but it has been released in paperback as well, so yay for us! I have made so many things from this lovely book, so check it out.

I'm also making a project just for me that I found in the fabulous Purl Bee. It's a herringbone stitch cowl and I'm making it of coral-colored Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk. It's a favorite already and I can't wait till it's done, which should be soon because this unique stitch is so different and fun to work that it's just flying along.

Happy Winter Knitting to you!

  3. Agreed that the photos are beautiful -- I especially love the kitty. :)

My favorite "pattern" from Weekend Knitting is on page 73 -- hot chocolate!
